Boglárka-Mercédesz Kis (project leader)

During her university studies at the Faculty of Geography and Biology and Geology of the Babeș-Bolyai University, she studied the chemical composition of the mineral waters of the Eastern Carpathians and their geological origin. She later investigated geochemistry of the mineral water springs of the Eastern Carpathians and the Transylvanian Basin, which was the topic of her PhD thesis. After obtaining the PhD degree, she worked in the Volcanology Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Eötvös University of Budapest as a postdoc researcher, and from 2018 she is a lecturer at the Faculty of Biology and Geology, Department of Geology of Babeș-Bolyai University. She is teaching environmental geology, hydrogeology, geochemistry.

Zsigmond Andreea-Rebeka (senior researcher)

She was born in Cluj-Napoca in 1978. She graduated in chemistry at the Babeş-Bolyai Universiy in 2002, and then she obtained a PhD in chemistry in 2013. Her PhD thesis treated some unconventional atomization methods in flame and plasma for metal ions. At the present, she works as assistant professor at the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, where she holds courses related to environmental chemistry and data processing. Her actual research fields are the metal uptake of some plants and mushrooms in the urban environment and the chemical composition of natural mineral water springs.
